§ 62-258. Taillamps.

(a)

Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least two red taillamps mounted one on each side of the rear of such vehicle, except that passenger cars manufactured or assembled prior to January 1, 1939, and trucks manufactured or assembled prior to January 1, 1968, and all motorcycles and motor-driven cycles shall have at least one red taillamp.

(b)

Every motor vehicle and every trailer or semitrailer being drawn at the end of a train of vehicles shall carry at the rear a lamp projecting a yellow or red light clearly visible under normal atmospheric conditions from a distance of 500 feet to the rear of such vehicle.
