§ 62-257. Headlights.
(a)
Every motor vehicle, except motorcycles, road machinery and farm tractors, shall be equipped with at least two headlights with at least one headlight on each side of the front of the motor vehicle.
(b)
Every motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one and not more than two headlights; the operator of a motorcycle shall display a headlight at all times while operating upon a roadway.
(c)
Every vehicle operating upon a roadway at any time from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise, during fog, smoke, or rain or other precipitation, and at any other time when due to insufficient light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the roadway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 200 feet ahead, shall display headlights. Headlights shall be required during periods of rain or other precipitation when the precipitation necessitates the constant use of windshield wipers.
(d)
The headlights of every motor vehicle shall be so equipped, aimed, and focused that they shall not project a glaring or dazzling light to persons in front of such headlights.
