§ 2-2. Privilege and expense reimbursements for certain officials and employees.

  • (a)

    It is hereby authorized that official county vehicles may be provided to elected county officials for official use by such officials in the execution of their duties. Whenever a county vehicle is assigned to an elected official or an employee, it shall be designated, under the applicable rules and regulations, by the county executive as to who may drive such vehicle and whether the vehicle shall be driven to and from such person's place of work on a full-time basis.

    (b)

    Whenever an elected county official is not assigned a county vehicle, such elected official shall receive, on a monthly basis, an allowance for travel reimbursement as set in the annual budgets and/or salary suits of said county elected officials as approved in accordance with law, consistent with policies and regulations presently in effect.

    (c)

    Each member of the commission shall receive, on a monthly basis, an expense allowance as set in the annual budget for expenses incurred for transportation, telephone charges, office supplies and other expenses directly associated with the performance of their duties and not directly reimbursed or otherwise provided by the county.
