§ 22-129. Meetings; duties.

  • It shall be the duty of the board to meet at least once annually in September to select a chair and vice-chair and to conduct any other business the board deems necessary and appropriate. It shall further be the duty of the board to meet at any time the county's ambulance services contractor proposes an increase in the price of equipment or services allowed under the contract. Any proposed increase in prices by the ambulance services contractor shall be submitted in writing to the chairman of the board, who shall be responsible for calling the board into session to consider the proposed price increase. The board in its sole discretion may call public hearings to get citizen input on proposed price increases. The board shall act upon any proposed increase within 60 days of the contractor's submission of the proposed increase to the chairman of the board in writing.
