§ 62-117. Required use of turn signals.

  • No person shall turn a vehicle at an intersection or private road or driveway or otherwise turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway without giving an appropriate signal continuously for a distance of at least 50 feet before altering the course of the vehicle as follows:

    (1)

    Left turn. A signal of intention to turn left shall be made by mechanical or electrical device or by the driver extending the left arm in a horizontal position.

    (2)

    Right turn. A signal of intention to turn right shall be made by mechanical or electrical device or by the driver extending the left arm upward.
