§ 62-89. Parking violation penalties.

(a)

Violations of the various parking regulations set out in this chapter shall be punishable by the following fines:

(1)

Violation of meter ordinance ..... $   15.00

(2)

Overtime parking ..... 15.00

(3)

Parking in a no parking zone ..... 20.00

(4)

Parking in a restricted zone ..... 20.00

(5)

Improper parking ..... 20.00

(6)

Parking in a handicapped space ..... 110.00

(7)

Parking in a fire lane or by a fireplug ..... 35.00

(b)

Parking tickets not paid within ten days after date of issuance are delinquent.

(c)

Failure to pay a parking ticket issued under the authority of subsection (a) of this section within ten days after issuance shall be punishable by an additional fine of $10.00.

(d)

Appeals of parking citations may be made to the county sessions court within three working days from the date of issuance.

(e)

If the officer issuing the parking citation shall ascertain that the vehicle upon which the citation is to be issued has outstanding against it three or more unpaid parking citations, the officer shall have the vehicle impounded subject to the payment of the outstanding parking citations.
