§ 62-56. Center turn lane.

The department of engineering and public works is hereby authorized to determine and designate upon a two-way roadway an additional lane in the center of the roadway for vehicles turning left, from both directions. Where such additional lanes have been provided by official traffic control signs and markings, no vehicle shall turn left from any other lane. A vehicle shall not be driven in this lane for the purpose of overtaking or passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction. A vehicle shall at no time travel farther in this lane than the next intersection.
