§ 62-4. State offenses declared county misdemeanors.

The state offenses cited in T.C.A. §§ 55-7-101 et seq., 55-8-101 et seq., and 55-9-101 et seq., and which are not specifically made violations of this chapter, are hereby declared to be county misdemeanors; provided however, that this section shall not apply to any offense which is made exclusively a violation of state law, such as driving under the influence, violations of state registration law, or driving on a revoked or suspended driver's license.
