§ 54-32. Responsible agency; names and addresses to be adopted by county.

The Knoxville/Knox County metropolitan planning commission shall develop and maintain street names and property addressing. Such agency shall maintain a file of existing public and private street names and be responsible for ensuring that proposed street names and addresses are in conformance with this article and do not create duplications. Street names and addresses shall be adopted by the county, provided, however, that the county may modify such names and addresses as it, in its wisdom, deems appropriate.
