§ 4-36. Completion of training for new employees.

  • Any new employee of a business regulated under this chapter who does not hold a certificate from an approved server training program shall have 30 days from the date of hire to complete the training required by this chapter. The employee shall be entitled to work and serve alcohol during this period. The employer shall keep on the premises, or at its county headquarters, if any, documentation of the employee's date of hire, which the employer shall make available to the county sheriff's department on demand. The employer, manager or owner of any business regulated under this section shall be required to inform any new employee of the requirement that he complete a server training program within 30 days of his employment. Provided further, the employer shall place a statement within the employee's personnel file signifying that the employee has been made aware of this requirement.
