§ 48-39. Refuse storage, collection and disposal; inoperable vehicles.

  • (a)

    The storage, collection and disposal of refuse in the mobile/manufactured home park shall be done in a manner that does not create nuisances, odors, rodent harborage, insect breeding areas, accident or fire hazards, or air pollution.

    (1)

    All refuse and garbage shall be stored in containers that are impervious to water and rodent vectors and have tightfitting lids.

    (2)

    Containers shall be provided in number to prevent garbage overflow.

    (3)

    Dumpsters may be utilized for central storage of refuse and garbage. The dumpster shall be maintained in good repair, be leakproof, rodentproof and flytight. The dumpster shall be cleaned as needed so as not to create a nuisance or health hazard.

    (4)

    All refuse shall be transported and disposed of in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations governing such refuse.

    (5)

    Mobile/manufactured home park grounds, buildings and structures shall be maintained free of accumulations of refuse or other debris which may provide rodent harborage or breeding places for flies, mosquitoes and other pests.

    (b)

    Keeping or storage of inoperable vehicles is prohibited.
