§ 46-56. Commission—Created; composition; compensation; officers.

  • A commission is hereby created for the county, to be known as the Knox County Governmental Library Commission. Each judge of the circuit, chancery, criminal, juvenile and domestic relations courts having jurisdiction in the county, and the judge of the county court of Knox County, shall be members of such commission, all members of which commission shall be ex officio members. No member of such commission shall be entitled to additional compensation by reason of membership on such commission, but any member thereof shall be entitled to reimbursement for reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of duties as a member of such commission or as an officer thereof. Such commission shall elect one of its members as chairman and shall elect such other officers, who may or may not be members of such commission, as the library commission may from time to time determine.
