§ 30-1. Fire inspection fee.

  • (a)

    Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Occupancy means those occupancies as defined by Standard No. 101 of the most current adopted edition of the National Fire Protection and Life Safety Code and chapter 4 of the Standard Fire Prevention Code.

    (b)

    There is imposed a fee of $25.00 per occupancy for inspections performed on buildings in existence on June 22, 1992, of 25,000 square feet or less and a fee of $50.00 per occupancy for inspections performed on buildings in existence on June 22, 1992, of 25,001 square feet or more in the county. The fee shall be paid by the record property owner, and shall be paid before a certificate of occupancy may be issued or renewed.
