§ 2-811. Benefits for regular permanent employees.

  • All regular permanent employees including non-certified employees of the board of education working at least 18.5 hours or more per week are eligible for full retirement benefits. Retirement benefits may include: The Asset Accumulation Plan (401 A Plan), life insurance, supplemental life insurance, the Medical Retirement Expense Savings Plan (MERP), and any other benefit as defined by the retirement and pension board.

    All regular permanent employees except non-certified employees of the board of education working at least 30 hours or more per week are eligible for full active benefit program. Benefits may include; medical coverage, dental coverage, flexible benefit options, and any other benefits as defined by the county government. Employees must apply for coverage within 30 days of their employment date.

    Eligibility guidelines and benefits are subject to change at anytime with notice to employees.
