§ 2-754. On the job injury or illness leave.

Employees covered by worker's compensation have the option to use sick leave pay until worker's compensation is approved. At such time when worker's compensation is approved, any accrued days paid from date of illness or injury will not be restored or credited to the employee's accrued leave balances. Worker's compensation benefits at the rate of 66⅔ percent will be paid by the eighth day of absence if the employee has not been paid under sick leave provisions.
