§ 2-393. Additional personnel, 1970.

  • (a)

    There are hereby created four additional assistant district attorneys general for the third judicial circuit of the state. The compensation of assistant district attorneys general shall be as provided by the general laws of this state. Such assistants shall also be reimbursed for the necessary travelling expenses incurred while upon official business as prescribed under the comprehensive travel regulations for employees of the state.

    (b)

    There are hereby created three additional secretaries to the office of district attorney general for the third judicial circuit of the state. The per annum salary for such secretaries shall be determined and set by the executive secretary of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference, with the approval and concurrence of the district attorney general for the third judicial circuit. Such compensation shall be not less than the salary which is currently being paid to the various secretaries to the district attorney general of the third judicial circuit. Such salary shall be payable in equal monthly installments out of funds of the state appropriated for such purposes.

    (c)

    The assistant district attorneys general and secretaries provided for under this section shall be appointed by the district attorney general and shall perform such duties as may be assigned to them by the district attorney general.

    (d)

    The county court and board of commissioners shall provide suitable office space, with the necessary appurtenances and conveniences for the use of the district attorney general, the assistant district attorneys general and the secretaries. The county court and board of commissioners shall furnish such offices with appropriate equipment, furniture and supplies.
