§ 22-109. Limitation on number.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for the owner or user of an outdoor alarm system to have more than six false alarms from any one scene within the county during a calendar year period. It shall also be unlawful for the owner or user of a nonoutdoor alarm system to have more than three false alarms from any one scene within the county during a calendar year.
(b)
It shall be a defense to this section that the alarm was:
(1)
Caused by the testing, repair, or malfunction of telephone equipment and/or utility equipment or lines if the alarm systems contractor or user first gives notice to the E911 dispatcher for the county sheriff's department by calling the following nonemergency number: 521-2444; or
(2)
Caused by a violent act of nature.
