§ 22-108. Procedure for installation of alarm system.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for a user to install or have installed an unmonitored alarm system without first giving written notice to the county sheriff's department of the names and telephone numbers of the alarm system contractor and whomever assumes responsibility for turning off the alarm signal and the alarm system when advised to do so by the sheriff's department. The persons so named shall be available to turn off the alarm on a 24-hour basis every day of the year. The user and alarm systems contractor shall have the duty of keeping such information current.
(b)
It shall be unlawful for an alarm system which sounds at a high pitch or volume to sound longer than 15 minutes.
