§ 22-62. Penalty for violation of article.

(a)

Any person who violates a requirement of this article, rule or regulation promulgated by the director, or rule or regulation of the department shall be subject to a fine of $50.00 for each violation. Each day a violation exists or continues shall be deemed a separate violation. Persons charged with violation shall be tried in the court of general sessions. Any fines collected for such violation shall be paid into the county general fund unless the ordinance otherwise provides.

(b)

Upon notice and opportunity to be heard, the certification of any service provider may be revoked by the director for any violation of the requirements of this article, any rule or regulation promulgated by the director, or any rule or regulation of the department. The revocation may be appealed by the statutory writ of certiorari.

(c)

In additions to any other available remedy, the director may bring suit to restrain, enjoin or otherwise prevent the violation of this chapter and the rules and regulations promulgated hereunder in the any court of competent jurisdiction.
