§ 18-169. Sheriff to furnish officer to maintain order.

  • It shall be the duty of the sheriff of the county to furnish an officer to attend the sessions of the court and preserve order and, in the absence of such officer, the judge of the court shall have power to appoint a suitable person for such purpose. Such officer, so selected or appointed, shall receive the same compensation, to be paid in the same way, as that now paid to the officer attending the existing circuit court of the county.
