§ 18-167. Clerk.

  • The clerk of the circuit court of the county shall also be the clerk of the second circuit court of the county, but such clerk shall keep separate books, give separate bond, and in all respects keep the business of the second circuit court separate from the business of the circuit court of the county. The compensation of such clerk shall be and remain as now or hereafter fixed by law; provided, the fees accruing to such clerk for services rendered in each of such courts shall be treated as if accruing in one court only.
