§ 18-143. Operation of center.

(a)

The detention center, its budget and its superintendent shall operate under the administrative control of the board of trustees through the director of court services. The latter shall be responsible for coordinating the work of the juvenile court and the detention center.

(b)

The budget for the detention center shall be submitted to the Knox County Quarterly Court for amendment or approval.

(c)

The trustees shall set general policies and programs for the detention center, to be carried out by the superintendent in consultation with the director of court services.
