§ 12-31. Restrictions on transient vendors.
(a)
A transient vendor shall not advertise, represent, or hold forth a sale of goods, wares or merchandise as an insurance, bankrupt, insolvent, assignee, trustee, estate, executor, administrator, receiver's manufacturer's wholesale, canceled order, or at sale, or closing-out sale, or a sale of any goods damaged by smoke, fire, water or otherwise, unless such advertisement, representation or holding forth is actually of the character it is advertised, represented or held forth.
(b)
A transient vendor shall not operate in the county until a temporary use permit is obtained from the department of codes administration and inspections in accordance with the County Code requirements provided in Appendix A, Zoning, Chapter 10, Building Regulations, and Chapter 30, Fire Prevention and Protection.
(c)
A transient vendor shall not be permitted to set up or operate any booth, stand, vehicle or other display of merchandise on any street, right-of-way, sidewalk or other public area within the county or in any location that will interfere with the view of traffic.
